Sanur area guide
Sanur is a relaxed town on the east coast, 20–40 minutes from the airport. A reef offshore keeps the water calm at most tides, which makes it popular with families and older travellers.
Why stay in Sanur
- A long paved beachfront path for walking and cycling
- Sunrise views over the sea and Nusa Penida on clear days
- Fast boats to Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and onward islands leave from Sanur's beach harbour
Good to know
At low tide the water can be very shallow over the reef. Sanur is quieter at night than Seminyak or Canggu. Remember to pay the Bali levy; the province also checks payments at the Nusa Penida crossings.
